Apple Watch has been around for a few years now, and increasingly business owners are becoming aware of the huge benefits of using the best Apple Watch apps for business on your wrist, to stay organised and be alerted of business-critical information.
Over recent years, we’ve become huge fans of the Apple Watch, not only to keep abreast of what’s going on in our businesses, but also the health and fitness benefits as a business owner and subsequent mental-health benefits that come as a result.
We’ve come up with a list of what we believe to be the best Apple Watch apps for business owners to run their businesses, and to help stop your business from running you!
Drafts for Apple Watch has appeared in various iterations of recent years, but with a recent update has really come into its own. Collect your thoughts, to-dos or anything else through dictation.
It has a very familiar interface making it easy to navigate and allows you to send your Drafts to a load of other apps and services such as email, message and such like.
Originally appearing as an iPhone app, Drafts is now available for the Apple Watch which makes it faster and even more convenient for business owners. Just tap on the microphone icon to capture and it does just that – enabling you to add to existing drafts using either your voice or scribbling on the screen using your finger, which means it’s perfect for those moments when you have that life-changing epiphany as much as everyday ideas dump. It’s the kind of app you can quickly come to rely on.
When used properly, Drafts is one of the best Apple Watch apps for business.
Invoice2Go for Apple Watch is useful for small businesses and companies that do contracting work. It allows you to keep track of your time spent on specific work and takes some of the strain off your admin after a full-day of work. You can also program the app to associate locations with specific jobs, so if you enter that area, the app will ask if they want to track your time. Neat!
After finishing a job you can review total time worked, rate per hour and total compensation all from your Apple Watch app. A simple tap of the Send Invoice button delivers the invoice to the customer, and you receives a notification upon payment. What’s not to like?!
Numerics for Apple Watch
With Numerics for Apple Watch, you can stay up to date with your daily revenue, project status or any number that you need to track for your business.
Having your most important business metrics on your wrist is so useful, we absolutely love this app. Just flick the “Show on Apple Watch” switch on any of your widgets in Numerics on your iPhone to add them to your Apple Watch Dashboard.
For example, we use numerics for daily website visitors and social followers, but there are endless amounts of data you can pull through with their widget system. You get 3 widgets on the free plan, but you can add many more for a small monthly fee.
Powerpoint for Apple Watch
Microsoft has given its PowerPoint for iOS app to include PowerPoint Remote for Apple Watch.
The PowerPoint Remote app acts as a remote control for presentations, allowing users the ability to go forward or backward through presentations with a tap of the Apple Watch. You can use the Watch to time your presentation and check which slide you’re on.
Keynote for Apple Watch
Keynote is Apple’s version of Microsoft Powerpoint. It’s been around for a number of years with various iterations following on. We really like the simplicity of it and how it works seamlessly with other Apple devices such as iPad and iPhone. But it can also be controlled by your Apple Watch.
As with the Powerpoint App, the Keynote Remote app for Apple Watch acts as a remote control for presentations, it is possible to work seamlessly with multiple Apple devices which support iOS and Mac. And with the Apple watch, you can work in tandem with Keynote to improve the entire presentation experience and control your presentations from your wrist.
